| Eligibility Requirements, Schedule and Fees, Application Form Eligibility WEB 101 is free and open to the public. See our latest schedule and locations. To qualify for WEB’s CORE or First Step training programs, applicants must: • Have a clear, focused idea for a viable, for-profit business. (We do not offer training for non-profit businesses.) • Be committed and able to attend six or 12 weeks of training and complete all assignments. • Possess the entrepreneurial drive and spirit to succeed in business. NOTE: Twelve-week program participants must be competent in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Schedule and Fees To ensure that income is not a barrier to participation, WEB’s training fees are on a sliding scale based on family income. Twelve-week CORE classes are currently offered three times per year in January, May, and September. Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 6 pm to 9 pm. Training fees are on a sliding scale, based on income, and range from $100 to $395. The six-week First Step classes are offered four times per year at WEB’s Federal Hill location with other locations offered in 2009. Classes meet one evening per week. Fees are on an income-based sliding scale, ranging from $25 to $100.
