WEB's Services

 

  WEB Program

Applicants are screened to ensure that they have both a viable business idea and the "entrepreneurial spirit" necessary for success. Participants must attend 12 weeks of training, write a business plan, and intend to start a business before or within 9 months after training is completed. For 12 months following completion of the Business Skills Training Course*, graduates are eligible to receive free technical assistance, resources, and support from staff and WEB's extensive network of volunteers.

The main WEB Program components are:

    Business Skills Training

    Resource Sharing
    Internet Training

       Mentoring
       Community Networking
       Government Certification & Procurement
       Information & Referral
       Business Consultation

 

*The next Business Skills Training Course (BSTC) begins in May 2008. The screening for the BSTC will be held in April. Note: Your application must be received and approved by WEB to participate in the screening. Contact us for an application.

  WEB First Step Training

The current First Step Class began on Friday, November 16. WEB’s First Step is a 6-week/18-hour entrepreneurship readiness training course that focuses on refining business ideas, skills assessment, and financial planning. First Step helps prepare entrepreneurs for the next stage of business development activity. Contact us for an application to the next First Step Class.

 Classes are held 6 times a year. Each class is 6 weeks long.

 Classes meet one evening a week from 6 to 9 p.m. 

 First Step Training fee is $85.00.
